Huson is about twenty minutes northwest of Missoula along I-90 and the Clark Fork River. Primarily made up of large-acreage homesteads with horses and plenty of space to grow, Huson began as a railway station and post office in the 1890s. The Forest Service has a working Ranger Station at Ninemile near Huson.
