The history of Cascade City dates back to the early 1800s, when it was a trading post for trappers and mountain men. In the late 1800s, Cascade City became a center for gold prospecting, and in the early 1900s it was a hub for logging, which helped spur economic growth in the area.

Thomas Graham originally founded the town named Dodge. To become the county seat of the newly formed Cascade County, the name was changed to Cascade in 1887.

The economy of Cascade City is focused on tourism and the service industry, with many businesses catering to visitors and locals alike. There is also a thriving agricultural industry in the area, with wheat and barley fields, cattle and sheep ranches, and a winery. There are also a few light manufacturing companies that employ local workers.

Perfect Home Finder

Today, many local real estate sites provide you with comprehensive searches of publicly listed properties from one or more Multiple Listing Services. Therefore, instead of reinventing the same wheel, we are utilizing Homes.com for the local listings and actually belong to a nationwide MLS.

It's important to note that many homes are sold before they officially hit the market. With our exclusive Perfect Home Finder Program, you can access unlisted and pre-market homes tailored to your specific needs in your desired locations. We uncover off-market properties that no one else is aware of, much like savvy investors do. This unique service is proprietary, so reach out to West Montana Homes to simplify your home search.
